Madder Mortem's new album. The singer is just amazing. She pulls so much anger and emotion at the same time and the songs are catchy, groovy and crazy at the same time

This.

I'd add more, but I think Frozen-me covers it very well. A really spectacular record that transcends genre boundaries in the most uncliche way possible in my opinion. And god... that voice...

The album is pure orgasm!I haven't stopped listening to it since then, definately my fav female fronted cd of 2009 so far

Fully seconded! I'd even say it's my overall favourite album of 2009 (though in my case, there usually isn't any difference between favourite album of the year featuring female vocals and overall favourite album of the year) and I can't think of any artist who might be able to change this.
