btw i'd reccomend Dejafuse (Nienke's new band apart from Autumn Sad ) and spanish prog metal band Ebony Ark (who are about to release their new album!)... Dejafuse may be more rock than metal, but they really should be there!!!! Mr. Green

DEJAFUSE YES!!!!!!!!!!!They are up tempo and rocking!!!
It would surely attract Autumn fans to the fest!!

Ebony Ark are good and they are in Ascendance Records

DEJAFUSE, why not (for MFVF 7 maybe), but Ebony Ark ask more money than a band like EPICA....... Shocked
Maybe they're famous in Spain, but here they didn't sold more than 100 cd's a year...then how to say, no !

Dejafuse are releasing the new album August/September so you can still be of the first ones to have them before they start touring

Not really Shocked Here, nothing like female lead metal is famous, probably they are more famous out of the country Sad (I didn't even know that they were Spanish)

On the other hand, talking about groups who doesnt have any future shows programmed, Xandria is a good option, I don't know if they're famous enough to be the headline but they are good! http://www.xandria.de/

And next, there is an Italian group called Tystnaden, they are new, just one cd out, but this cd was pretty good, they have a tour this summer but nothing more planned (at least on their webpage).... http://www.tystnaden.com/

And, finaly, there is a good, quite unknown spanish group called Eternya who is recording a new cd right now, but they are a very promising group! http://www.eternya.net/

woah! since when did Therion become female-fronted?

Since I want them on the MFVF :p lol
No seriously, I think they're 'female voiced' enough for the MFVF. Most of their latest albums have loads of female voices.
Gothic Kaballah not that much maybe, compared to Sirius B and Lemuria, but still more than enough... :p

Other bands that come to mind are
Xandria
Nemesea (I think they're awesome)
Trail of Tears
Darkwell (what ever happened to them?)
Tristania
Lacuna Coil
etc etc.

Bands who impressed me alot on past editions such as
Naio Ssaion
Legion of Hetheria (awesome)
Delain
etc should return some day as well in my opinion.

Edit:
And what about Haggard? Or are they a bit too 'weird' for the Mfvf? (no offence meant but I had no idea how else to describe it, lol)

Too bad Sengir is no more. Would have liked to see them again one day

Therion's last good album lies a decade behind them now, anyway.

They've been on MFVF before, I think year before last that they were on the bill.

Anyway, just swapped through this entire topic...

Angtoria, To-Mera, Legion Of Hetheria and Visions Of Atlantis are amongst the ones most mentioned/suggested/wanted, as far as I can tell.
