STREAM OF PASSION is a must (they'll have a new full CD out by then)
Midnattsol (already confirmed)
Epica (of course, MFVF without them is like metal without guitars)
Asrai !!! (releasing "Pearls in Dirt" on November 12th)
Nightwish
Delain
Within Temptation, Evanescence (not really metal & probably too expensive but you never know)
Crucified Barbara (they rocked @ Pestpop 2006)
Lacuna Coil
DORO
Draconian
Valkyre
The Mist and the Morning Dew (if booked early enough maybe it'll inspire them to release some new songs)

And please no Sengir!

EMILIE AUTUMN - is fantastic, but I'm afraid she might not be "metal" enough
MORTAL LOVE
NIGHTWISH - I know they've already headlined, but not with the new singer
STREAM OF PASSION - although I heard they disbanded, and I doubt they'll be the same without Arjen Lucassen's creative input..

Helium Vola

As much as I like Helium Vola, they have absolutely nothing to do with metal, thus I don´t see how they would fit in this festival.

Since L´âme Immortelle have been confirmed for next years MFVF (though being confirmed doesn´t mean much bearing in mind all the cancellations which "haunted" this year´s festival), I take back what I said and second the suggestion of Helium Vola. Actually, I still think that neither Helium Vola nor L´âme Immortelle fit on a festival titled Metal Female Voices Fest, but if a non-metal band like L´âme Immortelle are booked for this festival, a band like Helium Vola might be booked as well.

SoP has NOT disbanded, they recently added 3 new members (2 guitar and 1 keyboard player) and they're working on new material. Of course they are gonna sound different without Arjen's input. But 'cause Marcela (the lead singer) is writing the lyrics & melodies you will still recognize the beautiful & unique sound of SoP!

w00t more Stream of Passion fans
Really hope they can bring out a nice album in their new shape.

By the way, Nightwish will be playing in Belgium at 23/03/2008, and their gig has just been moved from a concert hall for 2000 people to a bigger one for maximum 7500 people. So suffice to say their popularity in our little country is quite big ^^ IF they would headline MFVF too it will attract a lot of people no doubt.

I think she is... she's a lot more metal (im my opinion anyway) than some of the bands that have played the fest before. Metal-ticity isn't everything Laughing

so yeah! EMILIE AUTUMN for MVFV VI!

Unfortunately disbanded. Shame as an excellent band.

L'ame Immortelle isn't exactly metal either & they will be there Razz
And I would also like The Birthday Massacre!

I actually would like it when there will be some different styles, because I didn't knew Flowing Tears, Sirenia, Interria, Seraphim, & they all sounded the same for me.. (But maybe that's just me.. Razz)

I was a bit disappointed by Sirenia live I have to admit. But maybe I just had too much expectations Wink
But I still liked their gig the most, even though it wasn't that great. Simply because I wanted to see them live so badly and I had already seen most of the other big bands (does that make sense?)

But just listen to Sirenia's 'At Sixes and Sevens' Very Happy
They're quite different from the rest imo and that's still one of my favorite albums of all times.
