Well, we all know this year's edition will be recorded
The question is will it be recorded for a DVD?Or bands will buy from the organisation the live videos for their own use?

I would really love if its a MFVF DVD, full shows or some seleceted videos

Any info on that?Any preferances?

Or a reduction for the people that came (and sponsored it, hehe) would be nice. Call it a compromise for the ones that aren't so tall and had to look at the people in front of them, holding their camera's high, small digital ones, up to big SLR-guns, that blocked the bit of sight they had left to peek at the performers.

We all do know there will be a Leaves Eyes DVD, but I never heard anything more, concerning the other bands.
There were people on stage with camera all the time though, so maybe some bands may publish some video...
I think it' very unlikely to see a dvd with bands from different labels next to each other... But don't get me wrong, I'd definitely buy a dvd with choosen songs (if not all of them, like a 5 dvd set or so ) from the whole festival.
Would be such a better souvenir than this crappy youtube videos !

Wacken Open Air also has a dvd every year.. although the bands have different labels

so why shouldn´t there be a mfvf - dvd?

The left pane of http://www.metalfemalevoicesfest.be/bands.htm tells us that: "This year, MFVF5 will be recorded".
So, I'll be hoping that it'll become a nice DVD-box Very Happy

Battlelore, Draconian and Elis recordings are given to their label, and will probably release a dvd soon for them.

Big festivals don't have problem with the rights to publish a dvd ... we will see if this is possible, because not all has given their authorization to produce something.

A mfvf DVD would be a great choice since the material is then and many people will buy it and even people that weren't there cause they are very excited with the youtube videos
And i would buy it for my friends too to see where I was

A DVD would be cool, but I guess it would be more logical to collect as much material as possible and release a sort of a "best of" spanning all editions so far.

Many opening bands don't really warrant a spot on a DVD to begin with, most people buy these things to see the (co-)headliners.

Nevertheless, if MFVF ever decides to release a DVD, I'd sure pick up a copy.
