Do you really need promo kits from every band?I don't have much of an idea of how it works
I mean you are MFVF, you do know Madder Mortem
At least here they are more famous than the bill of the 1st day minus Tarja

Besides last year they were on the poll of the replacement band of AF and I recall they were after DSO in votes

And they are going to have a new album quite soon

Yes we need it, as it's considered as a smaller band, we don't have to make search by ourselve if a band wants to play.
If others respect this condition why not them ?
Why not contacting us ? They should know the festival ...

I know the name, but you cannot find a cd of them here, and I'm not sure that you can find it easily in France etc ...
(no strong distribution = no good sales)

The votes of this forum are not the reflect of the renown of a band, or at least when you don't have hundreds voices.

No i didn't mean that the poll should tell you to book them, just thought that when you see them having more votes in the poll you would check them out
But yeah if you don't have cds its kinda tricky Shocked , though cd sales aren't anymore a criteria of who's kinda known (at least in Greece there are many known bands that have poor/no distibution but people order from the net -like me-)

I also think that they aren't much of internet people, well, maybe someone will have to nudge them in the future Laughing

*being impatient about the last bands*

Well, they do post on their own forum. And when I asked Odd last year, if they'd play at MFVF, he said they would if they were asked.

I guess that "someone" will have to be me, then. I suppose nudging them now would be too late for this year's festival, even if they did comply with my request. Though thinking about last year, you never know who's going to cancel, thus the need for a replacement might arise.

Ooh yes there is still the hope of cancellation (lol how ironic)
As long as DSO and Chaoswave don't cancel I'm eager for cancellations Twisted Evil

That's not the best way to apply for a festival Confused

I've just sent a pm to Odd about this and hope that I'll also get a reply - if he should find the time during the recording process of the new album.

I'm pretty happy with the line-up so far! I do agree that bands of a higher level *cough*TRAIL OF TEARS*cough* are needed on the saturday though. But all in all there are only 3 bands i'm not too keen on! (And two whom i've heard of, but never heard anything by them...)

Yay Razz

But does Trail of Tears have a real front female singer ?
What they sent us for the moment is the albums with a front male singer, and somethimes female backing vocals ...

People, last year, were wondering what Monica (Sirenia) was doing on stage, and also they didn't get a lot of good reviews Shocked

ToT is indeed mainly Ronny Thorsen, but he's now again accompanied by a female singer, so it's kind of a dual job. still, mainly him, though.
