Yes, DSO, not inviting them for a full set would be a mistake given the support they got. Brilliant, brilliant band.

I have in fact one question about the golden tickets.
It's true that it is a good idea for fans who want to hang out with some bands. Though, I have some remarks which you might keep in mind.
I think that it will be, in the first place, people who are desperate to talk to the bands that will buy such a ticket. There's nothing wrong about this,
as it is always fun having a conversation with a band you really like. But I think (as there is an amount of !50!), that there will be too many of these
tickets sold. Bands might not like being constantly waited for in front of their lodge. I can quite well remember the situation of the vast group of
VIPs waiting in front of the curtain of the aaa zone for Tarja. Those are the possible buyers of such a ticket and will definitely do anything to get
to see the band. I think, in this way, that bands will feel hurt in their privacy (as there's only one curtain away from their 50 fans waiting for them).
In addition, people in the venue (with an ordinary ticket) will have to wait longer for the band, as they will be hanging out with the golden pass owners.
I know that it's the band's decision to hang out there or not, but if people ask them to stay there a little longer and have a drink with them, they will
not be able to refuse it, for they are very big fans!
To conclude: I don't think this golden pass system is such a good idea. Wasn't there stuff stolen during the 4th edition (the edition where vips could still
go behind the stage and where Midnattsol had some drum elements stolen)?

Unfortunately, the behaviour you mention will not be restricted to Gold Ticket holders. For example, in 2007 people were gathering with their cameras to get a shot of Liv Kristine leaving the toilets; what you write about Tarja also does not sound good. This is a problem which could only be remedied by reminding the people in the back-stage area that the artists are not some animals in a zoo...

'the people in the backstage area' --> You're talking about the golden pass owners, right?
If I get it right what you are saying, the resposibility should be laid with the (die-hard) fans?
I don't think this is a good idea. If Liv Kristine can't even go to the toilet without being followed,
how would it be in the backstage area (aaa in this case) in front of an unlockable lodge?
I still think this is dangerous and tricky. If something of the band's jewellery, gear, dresses or whatever
will be stolen, then we will talk about 'resposibility'. A bad image of this superb festival is really
the last thing everyone is waiting for, I think.
There already are excellent signing sessions, VIP possibilities, etc. All great possibilities to meet
the bands. Why then these golden tickets? I think a better thing to do is to enlarge the vip zone just
a bit and selling some more vip tickets. In this way, privacy of the bands is preserved and
everybody's happy. I don't think all vips are together in this area at the same time, so it won't get
that crowded over there anyway.
If you want someting really badly, is there anything that can possibly stop you?
I don't think so. A small curtain in between someone and his/her idol certainly not. If they see a
sign 'only aaa', with security standing in front of it, then they will think twice.

It is not necessary to talk about Gold Tickets !
The idea come from bands, BUT nothing is decide at the moment.
Some bands like the idea, others don't like, but in final we'll take our own decision.

We also though that it will be difficult to have fans in backstage area (in the middle of the bands I mean), then we're thinking about another solution.

I saw Mortal Love are playing a gig soon in Norway.... I'd *LOVE* for that band to play MFVF, they seem to play so rarely for a band that's currently working on their fourth album.

Yeey ^^ Flowing Tears, Amberian Dawn and Autumn with their new singer ^^
That makes 7 bands... 5-6 more I think, right? I soooo hope After Forever and/or Lacuna Coil can make it! Very Happy

I also hope the 2nd day will continue with more bands than last year. Deadlock is your candidate ^^

Phil said that 2-3 bands are left + the headliner
I agree with you, I hope AF can make it, even if not as headliner!
I still keep my fingers crossed for DSO, then this be my best edition of the 4 i've been

And yeah I want a second day too!If they can't find a good extreme headliner, I wouldn't mind seeing Doro again or Holy Moses

For the second day, not especially an extreme band I think.
Mixing styles would be better ...

Doro would be great indeed. Especially with her new record coming. Maybe also a special set with Warlock songs and new songs?
Could attract a lot of people.

Yeah that would be much better for all us (extreme and "gothic" fans)!! Okay
Although I believe that Flowing Tears should be in the 2nd day cause Helen growls too but based on the music it fits better on the 1st one
Either way, fantastic band

Maybe for the second day In This Moment + Animal Alpha + Deadlock. Those are more extreme bands. Combining those with bittersweet female-fronted music would
be perfect. For example, adding Sirenia there would be great. This with Doro would be pure perfection Very Happy

Don't forget The Agonist Wink
Deadlock, The Agonist, Holy Moses perhaps, Doro why not :p In this Moment would also be a good choice! Don't remember any more bands with more extreme vocals atm. Trails of Tears is sometimes pretty extreme grunts too Very Happy Oh, I forgot Darzamat Very Happy

If we're speaking about mixed... Why not even include a bit of electro/industrial as well? Like Psy'Aviah Wink
