Gothic metal is a wrong title, but well, people use it for nearly all the bands with female vocals Rolling Eyes

Did we? At least not on stage.

I'd like some good old school thrash metal, i.e. Détente, but since they are from the United States and hardly anyone here will know them, it's just wishful thinking.

However, it seems at least the guys and girls of Bergtatt have been following my instructions. Ok, I don't know if they have already sent in their promo-stuff (I'll be able to ask them myself at their concert in St. Gallen on February 7th), but it seems they have already contacted the organizers of MFVF via myspace. Of course it's the latter who decide who is actually going to play and who not, but I can already tell that Bergtatt are definitely interested in playing concerts/festivals outside Norway.

Now I just wish Madder Mortem would finally release their new album and send in their promo-stuff.

Once again, I also second the request to get Stolen Babies to play at MFVF.

Bands that contact(ed) us via myspace, will never receive a reply (read the rules on MFVF's myspace) !

It exist a real MFVF website, where bands can send us an email !

They've to go on it, read the rules, send their requests on the GOOD email address (not my own for example, reserved for professionnal bands/managements) etc...

I didn't mean I don't want any gothic band at MFVF. I just meant that it is better, for whatever kind of festival, to keep as much variety as it is possible.

That's the meaning of the word "festival". I also think that with a more wide range of band much more people coming. That's why I suggested a lot of time, if they will keep a two days festival, to mix styles and bands, not to make a Gothic Day vs. Other bands days.

just look at some great festival like Summer Breeze or M'era Luna. Cool

just my opinion anyway Wink probably most of you doesn't agree...

No Ruben, I don't disagree. It is indeed best to mix genres, especially when it's hard to find vast headliners like Within Temptation of Arch Enemy.
