I can agree with the scepsis regarding Evanescence (who just suck) and WT (who had a great first album + ep's are great, and they do give a good show), but Nemesea in my opinion would fit at this festival. They do sound a bit 'soft' and slow sometimes, but they're closer to a symphonic metal band than they are to symphonic rock.
Also, they have been touring with After Forever so it can't be all that bad. I've never seen them perform live though, so I'm not the best judge for them.

and a few years ago, when we proposed to nemesea the contest we wanted to organize (before the first warm up show), they refused to make it, considering that this kind of competition was not for them ... Shocked

are you talking about 3-4 years ago?cause Nemesea released a very poppy album (which unfortunately i own Rolling Eyes ) and they aren't touring with metal bands (do they even tour outside NL?) and when I met Manda she told me that they don't want to and won't go back to metal/gothic

Ah yes, I was talking about their first album (Mana or something?) and their tour in 2003/2004 or something.
I hadn't heard their second album yet to be honest. Is it that bad? I'll check it out soon.

But strangely enough, I enjoyed it more than Mana...

I spoke to the lead singer and also the manager of Kivimetsän Druidi last Monday night and both said that they really wanted to play at MFVF7.
They were awesome by the way as were Battlelore.

Some remarks:
- After Forever doens't play in 2009, they are on a break since their bassist is sick (depression or stress or something) and they don't want to continue without him
- NO WAY Arch Enemy will want to play @ Oktoberhallen, that's way to small for them Wink They even begin to despize Hof ter Lo and AB Brussels Sad
- Same with Nightwish, it's just too small for them, they see it bigger... (They always say it's Tarja's fault, but they are still promoting and selling singles shirts and other (useless) stuff like hell with Anette + she's not even that good)
- Whizdom is the first confirming band :p

My request list then:
- Battlelore (with longer setlist plz ^^)
- Nemesea is a good idea, never seen them live but cd's are good
- Forever Slave
- Flowing Tears
- Autumn, 2 years ago they could'nt make it Sad
- Midnattsol, since they couldn't play anymore last year Sad
- Deadlock!! They will definately say yes if they are not busy then and are great both on cd and live!
- Tristania (new singer in action^^)
- Elis, quite some time ago
- Theatre of Tragedy if they still perform
- Draconian, with longer setlist
- Atargatis / Darkwell
- Eeriness
- Markize again ^^
- LACUNA COIL !!!

I don't see why Oktoberhallen is too small for AE ? They played Hof ter loo, and it's 1500 max.

hahaha, soz but your lack of info makes me laugh!
After forever took a break in 2008 cause of their guitarist/growler's burn out
Arch Enemy played here in a club, not festival, it was max 700-800 people
