Friday isn't better, for some reasons (as explained last year) :
* People come back from school/work at least at 16h30, and are not so motived to attend a show 1 hour later (or will be too late for the first bands).
* You have less bands, so not considered as the main day = less attendance.
* To get the entire staff on that day is really not easy.

People who come from foreign countries need to get 1 day-off, Friday or Monday is the same.
So better to give 2 full days Wink

Now as MFVF is planned on 2 days since 3 years, people can organize their weekend a long time in advance (like for bigger fests, Graspop-Wacken-Tuska ...)

Besides, being sleepy for one morning of school is nothing ^^ I used to do lan parties (some in the Oktoberhallen too) and go to school the next morning, after sleeping very little for a whole weekend. MFVF is worth it!

I'm glad it will be held on 2 days. The more bands the better. It's going to be hard to wait until October for this trip!

Is Delain still confirmed? I was just looking today and I didn't see anything on their webpage or myspace page about MFVF7. Just wondering. I'm really hoping they play.

DARZAMAT ?
We're in negociations, but at the moment it is not confirmed.

The Agonist wont come this year !
Their agent said it's economically NOT feasible.

VoA, well ... they will release their new album after the festival, so it's too early to book them.
We told that they will be postponed for MFVF7, because we thought that they would be ready ... But they announced their new singer recently, so they need more time to practice with her.

Note that they told us they found their new singer since February 2008.
It isn't the same name announced at that moment Confused

We will check in the bands' list we have now to find one in this vein.
But, feel free to give your suggestions. (female growling !)

Tough task as most female growlers have played there or have no new album!
Too bad that animal alpha disbanded a few days ago Crying or Very sad

Astarte is a greek one (but that might be expensive too)
Akphaezya's Nehl also grunts in some songs ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLZNnHtvNpg ) and they'll be finishing 2nd album this summer

Yes Astarte is a great band but I think they've never played live... Well, no I don't know but that's what Tristessa said in a interview two years ago. It might have changed...

Ok, but they`ll also play Metalcamp this year as far is I know which is earlier than MFV and so i thought they`d be surely ready...The Album release is after the fesitval? Didn`t know that, i thought Mid-October was planned...and they already fixed their new singer in september 2008 and just announced the name, which does not mean that they didn`t have enough time to practice?!?
