This is to offer you ALL more bands on the bill !
What do you prefer for next year only 8 bands in place of 12.

It's also the role of MFVF to offer a chance to young band, and to discover new talents.

This year we worked much more to build the best line-up ever, we reduced the price of the tickets, we'll propose a lot of new stuffs, and of course you can't agree to this, we can't do nothing.

I understand your point of view, ofcourse..and it's important to give young bands a chance.
And Yes, the line up is great this year.., but still it feels a bit awkward to see a great band like Autumn play as long as the small, unknown young bands. I wouldn't mind if they would play 30 minutes and the bigger bands like Autumn and Amberian Dawn 50..

But I'm happy anyway, finally I'm going to see them all live!

Of course 12 bands is better than 8, but i think JohhnyQ and the others talk about a different repartition of time, more fair to the bigger bands

The time schedule is good as it is, don't listen to complaints Razz Only I think Epica has TOO much time haha! Don't think I'm going to watch the full 100 minutes, time for a nice drive home, sleep and pack my stuff again towards Wieze for another great day! (woot Deadlock ^^). And indeed, small bands should get a chance to show what they've got, and 30 minutes will jsut give a sneak preview for that... So 40 is just fine. Besides, for instance Autumn is playing for the 3rd(?) time on MFVF already, I don't think they will complain about it theirselves so you shouldn't too Wink

I am other opinion. It's good time, because of they will produce a live DVD. Like Leaves' Eyes two years before.

to be honest... however long autumn play for wouldn't be long enough for me, but i can say that about most of the bands playing, in fact.. the festival could last for a week,
and i would still moan about having to wait a year for the next one... pinky doodle poodle playing 40 mins is fine by me, the time limit on all the bands is too short ,
but i will buy and no doubt wear out the dvds, when i get home , a great festival in prospect and i can't wait for it ......
p.s. any news on the price of the dvds.???

This will depend of each band I think.
I've asked more details to the video company, to see how it will be arranged with bands.

We didn't receive so many agreements from bands about the dvd's.
A lot of them wants to release their own dvd, or to add it as a bonus on their next album, let's see then.
We understand that they wanna sell a lot of their official dvd.

With big bands it will not possible to sell a dvd directly after their show, as labels get all the rights, and they want to release it themselves, next year.
But we've an agreement to have 3 songs that we'll put on the MFVF's official dvd.
It's really complicate to find a deal.

In final, few bands will ask us to sell a dvd (a limited number of course) of their performance of the day.

Over that, we'll inform you very soon about the name of the special guest EPICA announced for their show.
Don't miss it, as EPICA said that this show will be their big one ever Okay

Stay tuned !

I guess Manic Movement is one of the few that will sell their DVD in MFVF, or so says their myspace offer
Now lets hope that some of the bands I like will agree too

Not a surprise really - but a bit of a shame as I was looking forward to reliving the concerts soon after but now will have to wait for up to a couple of years for some to appear - some of the bands have just released a new album and it is unlikely that the next ones will appear for a year or two

I am sure we all realised that the big bands would not get an instant release as the labels would not have their cut
But I was hoping that some not quite so big would be able to release them

When will the official dvd be expected?

FLOOR JANSEN announced us that she'll be there on Saturday too !
More easy for her to be there on Saturday, as she'll need some rest before to go on stage with DORO.

Then on behalf of FLOOR, 10 fans per day will win a meet & greet (+/- 15 minutes) with her Okay
Feel free to discuss, do pics, etc...

MFVF hostesses will choose & take you in the crowd.

Be there Okay
