I would love to see and hear the new Sirenia Very Happy
Their new cd sounds awesome, so it would be worth having them at MFVF7, I think.

That's right, they are taking a break and after that work on their new album, which will be back to the roots or something totally different, I heard both rumors Razz

What was wrong with Tristania back then? Sure, tey had technical problems, but I still enjoyed them, I was on the front row.

Oh. In extreme, as Arch Enemy will be in Japan, someone talked about Wall of Jericho and I about Cadaveria.
Couldn't they be Headliners ?

But Lacrimose isn't a band with front female singer Confused
Tilo's voice is the main you'll hear, Anne makes sometimes the backings vocals.
Even if I would like to see them once, ....

Nightwish: their new singer aint as good as Tarja, but they still pack one hell of a punch
Within temptation: it's my style, the singer is very good looking, and their music is wonderfull
Evanescence: I'd love to see them life
Tarja: After meeting her last year, I kinda fell in love, so voted her too
Epica: Well, what can I say, they rock!

I saw Nightwish on Wednesday and the are getting really good with their new singer. She has so much more presence compared to the last time I saw them. They are definately making their way back to being a great live band again.

I saw 'em yesterday. They were -ok-
Anette seems to have problems keeping up with the band volume, wich results in an unbalanced volume. Meaning, sometimes she sings louder then a second later. And she's not very understandable.
I'm a fan, and i know large chunks of the lyrics if i hear the text. But i couldn't make out a thing she was singing...

Tarja on the other hand, you can understand even while you are deaf...

Ah well...

Yesterday, we left after 3 songs Rolling Eyes
Not convinced at all ...
Weird old songs' arrangements* , singer was transparent (often near the drum), she was moving sometimes like in a dancing, can't hear her when Marco was singing too etc ...

* I heard this before on Skynet, they broadcasted their live at pukkelpop (or another festival, can't remember).
But wasn't sure that it was due to the festival's live or was really changed.

Well, it's really difficult to hear the old songs with another voice ... for the moment, I can't change my opinion Very Happy

Well, for the past few years i've been trying to convince myself it's still 'Nightwish', but as you've put it so wonderfully, 'not convinced'...

That show on skynet was from Rock Werchter 2008. I watched it too and yeah both Annette and Marco didn't seem to be singing well back then. I thought it might have to do with the fact that they played very late that day and I think they arrived in Belgium quite late too, at first they were set to play in the afternoon but their show was pushed back because they couldn't make it in time according to the Werchter website.

I saw them in Lotto Arena last year and I enjoyed that, although my friends weren't convinced so we didn't go again this time. I think Dark Passion Play is a great album and Annette fits in nicely there, but far less for the older material. Anyway, the new Nightwish is called Amberian Dawn Wink <3
