btw, when will the replacement band be announced?

Midnattsol! They love to play at MFVF, MFVF visitors know them well, they have the professional level to play in the evening and they'll have new stuff to present.

The German-Norwegian Nordic Folk Metal band MIDNATTSOL has completed work on seven songs and is currently preparing to enter the studio to follow-up on Where Twilight Dwells. Guitarist Christian Hector: "The new songs are a bit more complex and have a higher Folk influence than the tracks found on the debut. Carmen´s vocals are more powerful and you can most certainly count on a new version of a traditional Norwegian song". (20 APR 07)

cool a new album will be great. i like to see them again with new stuffs. pleeeease Midnattsol Mr. Green
nearly all bands have a new album this year, this is great
yeah ... but if they play people will p*** off the metal female organizers, they played twice already.

Whatever will be fine. A doom metal band will be great Twisted Evil

So I'm sure the MFVF crew will sign a really good replacement! We'll be tuned!

One again, my vote goes to Octavia Sperati and Pale Forest!

WOW that's a long discussion threat...

As first post in this forum (congratulations Helcanen!) I'd like to contribute too ;-)

I would naturally think to replace a Dutch band by another Ducth band... I saw Nemesea mentionned once, they are great and rising!

Otherwise, it would always be a pleasure to see Midnattsol again.

Also Syrens Call who were on MFVF2 are back with a new singer Soraya and are in great shape.

Echoes of Eternity is new, orginal and rocking... but they announced they'd tour in Europe next year, so, maybe for next year...

Visions of Atlantis are about to release their new CD, would be nice to see them again too.

Also Theatre des Vampire and Naio Ssaion were awesome last year. Wouldn't mind to see them again.

Finally we have still the Belgian bands: Skeptical Minds, Sengir, Sad Siberia...
