Atrox

If Monika Edvardsen was still a member of this band, I'd fully second this suggestion, but she already left Atrox about six years ago and since then Atrox have been male-fronted, thus I guess Atrox don't qualify for this festival - unless their vocalist should undergo a sex change or Monika should return (which is very unlikely).

Another suggestion:

Gåte

While not being metal, they surely know how to (folk) rock. Their one-off reunion concert yesterday in Trondheim drew a crowd of about 6,000 people, which I think is quite a lot and doesn't happen that often in Norway. OK, an appearance at the MFVF is most unlikely already because they said in a recent interview they'd only do another concert if 200,000 people demanded it. (In an interview earlier this year, their vocalist had said they might do a reunion concert if 10,000 people demanded it - probably not expecting that someone would start a facebook-group "Get Gåte back" which managed to get more than 14,000 members.)

It was indeed. If you like Monika's unusual vocals/lyrics as much as I do, this interview might be of interest to you.

Tourettes! how could I have forgotten about them; must be three years ago now; they where.. well...
gave a similar feeling as Van Canto... you think wtf is this? only to find that there is not really a description for it and you just end up enjoying it all Smile

Tourettes came on stage; first thing the lead singer did was to throw the microphone standard away; literally tossing it to one side. and only after she started talking (when the third song finished) I realised she was a woman...

god did I feel sorry for the poor 60 year old lady selling drink tokens.... it was so damn hard.... it was great Smile
