Yes, this is the ticket printed by Ticketnet (with the metallic square)

About your "map", it's a good idea.

So, to be clear for all :

1. Main entrance, for those who have their MFVF official ticket (bought on our website, and local record shops)
2. Desk to change your ticket bought at Fnac and Ticketnet + Vip tickets + accreditation/guests
+ Tickets to buy on the day
3. 2nd entrance, for people who already have their wristband or pass.
---> for those who are coming from the desk
---> on Saturday, for those who bought the combi and so, already get the wristband on Friday

Have a question about Oktoberhallen as I have never been there before. As the gig starts at about 10.00 am and goes on until about midnight 30 is there anywhere to sit down apart from the floor? It would be a long long day to have to stad around all day. Also issues like smoking inside the venue? Are there plenty of toilets? Also one thing that I would like to know is when the bands will be "participating" with the audience will the promoters be telling the bands that they be talking in English or French or Dutch or Flemish? Or do you not get involved in this? I ask this because I have for example been to see Autumn twice and yes I know they are Dutch and I saw them in the Netherlands but I felt a bit out of it by not being able to understand what they were saying when talking to the audience.
Look forward to hearing answers to these questions. Okay[/img]

exemple: I bought a VIP-ticket, but can only attend the festival on Saturday. What happens when you get your pass at the desk? (as the VIP-ticket also counts as a combi ticket).
Will the pass be the same or...?

Answers for Keith :

I have to ask to the venue if they can put at disposal some chairs for the audience.
If you have a VIP pass, you can sit in the backstage area for sure.

Smoking inside the venue is still authorized here. For the gigs it's impossible to ask to smoke outside only ... nobody will respect this.

Toilet : yes, there is enough for everybody. But now I have to let you know that it isn't a free service.
The venue owners put someone at the entrance, and I think that they ask 0.40€. Unfortunately, we don't have our word on this.

Bands : Mind view magazine organizes this year a Miss Metal 2008 competition. They told us that the winner miss will be charged to present the festival, announce bands, signing sessions ... so this will be done in English.
But the bands know that there are a lot of foreign visitors, and all will probably talk in English.
To be honnest I think that the half (or maybe more) of audience are coming from other countries.

As Helcanen said, you need to pay to use the toilets. But last year the toilets were pretty clean until the end. I rather pay EUR 0,4 to use the toilets and not have to wade through pools of... stuff... than having free but dirty toilets.

Desks are opened both days : on Friday and Saturday (pass, tickets).
If you can only come on Saturday, there is no problem to get it, even if you've a "combi", no worries.

Oooh so the wristband and laminate that we get on Friday will be used for Saturday too
So, those with VIPs that go also on Friday will go directly to gate 3, nice

I just saw this information:
// * from Gent : only 2 reservations. If this amount doesn't increase, the bus could be canceled //

Is there some more information about this?
The 2 reservations are mine!

PLEASE DONT CANCEL IT Sad

Although I do not really agree with the fact that you have to pay to use the toilets when you mention that the fact that hopefully they should remain clean for most of the day does way outlay the fact of payment.

For the moment I get 1 more reservation.
But we have to wait, because people need time after the summer festivals.
We don't want to see some busses cancelled, si I hope that the reservations will move soon.

i was just wondering how many people are expected to visit the fest this year. and how many VIPs and all that. i saw a picture of the inside of the venue and it looked quite big as far as i could tell.

and how will things go about with food etc? i have a VIP pass and there's free meals with that, but how will that eventually work out? is there a set time fir this or can you just get some food whenever you feel like it? and most importantly, what's on the menu? Laughing

We never can tell in advance how many persons ...
The venue can welcome 4000 persons, maybe less when we have a big stage (like for Leaves' Eyes with the Viking ship).

200 VIP tickets were available, it seems high, but not all these 200 will stay at same time in same place.

There is no schedule for the meals, except for bands.
I can suggest to ask in advance on what time you would like to eat, to avoid long queues. The cooker can hold a kind of schedule for those who have asked. That's an idea.

Menu ... too early to know. The cooker has to answer me about meal propositions.
If there are some vegetarians, I really advise to let me know, so that we can reserve some meals without meat Wink
